Welcome to "The Parkers Live"

To be absolutely clear about the mission of this blog:

I have the most stubborn refusal to accept the Mephisto-created reality that Spider-Man now finds himself living in.

So this is dedicated to the preservation and ressurrection of the Parker marriage.

I gladly welcome feedback and colaboration as I (we) examine the comic world of Spider-Man pre-One More Day and post.

Here's hoping this blog won't be needed for long!

I agree, for the most part, but in order for the creator's offer to be in any way considered, it should have the twist that Aunt May would not be healed, she would go back to being one day from death and Peter would get that day to say goodbye.

This would force Pete to accept the reality of life and inevitability of death ... especially for someone of May's advanced years.

Pete, of course, would put off the decision as long as possible because he can't handle losing people - angst - drama - crying - back to normal.

Another thing I would like to see brought back is his identity being publicly known, I personally thought this was the bravest move Marvel made during the whole Civil War shenanigans and I was looking forward to seeing how it would be dealt with ... I was not hoping for Satan inspired retcon to say the least.

I absolutely agree. After the fantastic stories that came out of Daredevil's unmasking, I was really excited to see what was going to happen in the Spider-Man books -- but then that was taken away from us.

I also like the idea of Aunt May dying as an example of the consequences Peter has to deal with for putting on the webs and tights.

How fun would it have been if the books took a couple cues from Daredevil and The Hulk and had Peter and MJ on the run?

That ... plus I really just don't like Aunt May, she should have stayed dead from way back in ASM 400.
